2024 "Learn to Ride" Bike Camp
Registration is now CLOSED for the 2024 Bike Camp sessions.
"Learn to Ride” Bike Camp is a four-week program to help children or young adults develop skills to ride their bikes independently. Bike Camp is presented free of charge to families through a grant from the Dr. Gertrude A. Barber Foundation.
- When: Wednesdays, July 10, 17, 24 and 31
Choice of two sessions: 4-4:50 p.m. & 5-5:50 p.m.
Developed under the direction of physical therapists and physical education teacher to meet the needs of children and young adults with special needs but open to any youngster who is able to pedal but who has not been successful riding without training wheels.
- Children should be at least six years of age and beginning to steer and pedal.
- Participants should bring a bike and helmet, but a limited number may be available for camp use.
- Parents/guardians are requested to remain on site to observe each session — we ride rain or shine in either the parking lot or in the gym.
- Enrollment is on a first come, first served basis.
