TWS Award Ceremony Sees 43 Perfect-Attendance Honors

"Disability is a matter of perception. If you can do one thing well, somebody will need you."

The quote from Marycarmen Walker, operations supervisor, is how this month's TWS awards opened. Before handing out awards, two former TWS workers, August Hafensteiner and Dominic DiPlacido, were recognized for getting jobs in the community. Hafensteiner works with the janitorial staff at Erie Insurance Arena and DiPlacido works at Pizza Hut.

Then, of course, it was time for awards. Things like soft skills, opening doors, cleaning messes, and treating others well were rewarded. After that, 43 TWS workers were given $5 Wal-Mart gift cards for their perfect attendance. In all, it was a fun and rewarding day for the TWS workers whose hard work was recognized.
