Erie, PA (Sept. 12, 2023) – Barber National Institute is pleased to celebrate the nationally recognized Direct Support Professionals Week, September 10 through 16. Direct Support Professionals – or DSPs – are caregivers specifically trained to care for individuals with developmental disabilities and autism. At Barber National Institute, a nonprofit organization, 800 DSPs provide care for 1100 individuals with developmental disabilities.
