Erie, PA (Oct. 25, 2024) - Students from Barber National Institute’s Elizabeth Lee Black School gathered in song to thank Pennsylvania Senator Dan Laughlin who was instrumental in securing an additional $750,000 in funding from the Pennsylvania Department of Education for Barber National Institute’s Elizabeth Lee Black School as part of the 2024-2025 Pennsylvania state budget.

Erie, PA (Sept. 6, 2024) – Barber National Institute celebrates the nationally recognized Direct Support Professionals Week, September 8 -14. Direct Support Professionals – or DSPs – are caregivers specifically trained to care for individuals with developmental disabilities and autism. At Barber National Institute, a nonprofit organization, 970 DSPs provide excellent care for individuals with developmental disabilities throughout Pennsylvania.
