Bill Harriger, MBA is a graduate of Gannon University and serves as Barber National Institute’s Chief Project Officer. In this role, Bill works with internal teams to maximize BNI resources, aligns the project’s goals with mission and vision and optimizes for the greatest impact.
Bill’s known for his financial acumen and sound judgement. Most recently, Bill served as the President and CEO of the Verland Foundation in Sewickley. Under his leadership Verland constructed new community homes, grew their staff and expanded their service footprint. He’s adept in working with legislators and advocacy groups. He received the Advocate of Year by Pennsylvania Advocacy and Resources for Autism and Intellectual Disability (PAR) for his work on a statewide provider appeal.
Prior to Verland, Bill held the position of Chief Financial Officer of Erie Homes for Children and Adults in Erie where he averted a potential $1.1M reduction in state funding, reduced operating expenses and redirected funding to client programs and services. Bill served as a PAR Board Member, consultant and presenter.
Bill resides in Pittsburgh with his wife Liz. They have two grown daughters, Colleen, an Orthopaedic Surgeon in Washington PA and Coutney, a Physician Assistant in Reno Nevada. The whole family are avid Pittsburgh Steelers, Penguins and even Pirates fans.
