The Shillelagh Golf Tournament is an Erie tradition that brings golfers together to support the mission of Barber National Institute. The event includes lunch, dinner, and a round of golf on one of the area's most versatile and scenic courses.
November 21, 2026, Kahkwa Club, Erie
The Ladies Only Luncheon is an Erie tradition that supports services for children at Barber National Institute’s Elizabeth Lee Black School. This event is held the Saturday before Thanksgiving to help launch the holiday season with socializing, a festive lunch, and the chance to take home a bountiful gift basket or other prizes. This is a special occasion to cultivate relationships with a broad sector of women and share the personal triumphs children and families.
Barber National Institute’s Program Recognition Dinners are heartfelt gatherings that honor the achievements of individuals served across our programs, while celebrating the dedication of families, staff, and community partners. These events provide a warm and inclusive space to recognize milestones, share stories of impact, and express gratitude to those who make our mission possible. For 12 years, Barber Beast on the Bay united our community in support of individuals with intellectual disabilities. Now, that legacy continues with a reimagined Adapted Course- a better, more dynamic event that celebrates the courage, inclusion, and achievement for participants with a disability.
