Kids on the Block Puppet Troupe

The Kids on the Block program is going through some changes. If you’d like to be added to the email list to be contacted when the program returns or if you would like more information, please email Shayla at ShaylaAndrews@Barberni.org.

Our Kids on the Block puppeteers have a new video to help parents and teachers talk to children about the Covid-19 pandemic.

The Kids on the Block is a troupe of very likable puppets, with and without disabilities, designed to teach children about differences and similarities in people. The puppets have been used in classrooms all over the country. Our group of puppets includes individuals who have Down Syndrome, Hearing and Visual Deficits, Cerebral Palsy, Autism, ADHD, Epilepsy, and Learning Disabilities.

The best part of the performance is that people, both children and adults, can learn from each of the Kids on the Block. They can learn an attitude of understanding, warm, and sensitivity that will serve them well for the rest of their lives.

This program is offered free of charge to schools and any other community organizations.
